| 2017 | Chicago Cubs, Kansas City Royals | 0 | 0.022 | From transactions |
| 2018 | Chicago Cubs | 30 | 0.052 | From transactions |
| 2019 | Chicago Cubs | 47 | 0.099 | From transactions |
| 2020 | Chicago Cubs | 172 | 1.099 | Carried forward |
| 2021 | Chicago Cubs | 172 | 2.099 | From transactions |
| 2022 | Chicago Cubs | 172 | 3.099 | From transactions |
| 2023 | Cincinnati Reds | 5 | 3.104 | From transactions |
172 days credit a full year, so a season adds at most 1.000 no matter how long a player is on a roster. 3.000 years reaches salary arbitration and 6.000 reaches free agency —
what every threshold unlocks.
